What is NSE?

 NSE, or the National Stock Exchange of India, is a leading stock exchange located in Mumbai, India. It was established in 1992 and is one of the two major stock exchanges in India, along with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). NSE is home to more than 1,800 listed companies, making it one of the largest stock exchanges in the world by market capitalization.


NSE operates on a fully automated trading platform called National Exchange for Automated Trading (NEAT), which allows investors to buy and sell securities in real-time. The exchange offers a wide range of financial products and services, including equity and debt securities, derivatives, and mutual funds. NSE is a member of the World Federation of Exchanges, an organization that represents more than 250 exchanges around the world.
