What is intraday trading?
Intraday trading is the practice of buying and selling financial instruments within the same trading day. It is also known as "day trading." Intraday traders typically open and close their positions within the same day, although some may hold their positions overnight if they believe that the market conditions warrant it. Intraday traders try to take advantage of small price movements in financial instruments, such as stocks, currencies, and futures contracts, by buying and selling rapidly in an attempt to profit from the price changes. They typically use technical analysis and chart patterns to make their trading decisions, and may also use news events and fundamental analysis to inform their trades. Intraday trading carries a high level of risk and requires a strong understanding of financial markets and instruments. It is not suitable for all investors, and it is important for traders to carefully manage their risk and use appropriate risk management strategies.
